PERFORMANCE CHOIR
Scroll down for all the INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED to start your performance choir journey with us!
Hey singers! Our Performance Choir is a special group that operates separately from our weekly choirs, and anyone can join – whether you’re a weekly member or not.
This choir is for those who are ready to take their singing to the next level.
Instead of teaching songs during rehearsals, we expect members to be more independent and learn their parts at home using our downloadable learning tracks.
REHEARSALS
We come together two or three times a year to polish our songs and get ready for our big summer and Christmas performances. Most of the songs we sing in the Performance Choir are also covered in our weekly sessions. So, if you want some extra help or just enjoy singing more, joining both might be a great idea for you.
Below, you’ll find everything you need to know – from our song list to what to wear and bring to performances. And remember, ANYONE can join our Performance Choir! If you have friends who might be interested, spread the word!
We can’t wait to make some amazing music with you!
What to Wear:
- Please note, for all performances all Performance Choir Members are required to wear a Sing For Fun T-Shirt and/or Jumper. These can be bought directly from the website shop.
- Black trousers, black jeans or black leggings on your bottom half, whatever you feel most comfortable in. Please make sure your trousers are BLACK and not navy, faded black or dark grey.
- Comfy BLACK shoes as you will be standing for a period of time.
- I would bring a warm and/or waterproof coat – I can’t guarantee the weather and at certain events we may need to stand outside for a while before performing, so we will want to keep warm and dry in case of inclement weather!
PREparing for the Performances:
For the performances, NEW Performance Choir Members may use their sheet music and lyrics for their first 2 performances, and will stand at the back of the choir. Members who have attended 2 or more performances must know their music and lyrics off my heart – no books are allowed.
WHat Else to Bring:
- A bottle of water.
- As little else as possible – I don’t know if there will be a secure place to leave our bags or valuables at any event, so it is better to bring as little as possible, or leave it with a loved one who’s come along to support.
Summer Set List
For all our summer events, we will be singing these songs, in this order:
- California Dreaming
- Love Really Hurts Without You
- Come What May
- When I’m Gone
- Jar of Hearts
