What is Sing For Fun?

At Sing For Fun, we do things a little differently. We’re not a formal choir—we’re a fun, friendly community of people who sing pop, rock, and musical theatre simply for the joy of it! With over 20 years of experience and hundreds of happy members, we’re passionate about helping people feel good, build friendships, and grow in confidence through group singing.

What you’ll do

This is a turn up and teach opportunity—simple as that.

✅ We provide the songs, the bespoke arrangements, the guide tracks, the backing tracks.
✅ We sort out the venue, admin, emails, and payments.
✅ You walk in, light up the room, and lead the fun!

You’ll lead a weekly 2-hour Sing For Fun group through uplifting, accessible pop, rock and musical theatre songs in harmony. We also run optional one-off workshops and provide the chance to offer private or small-group singing lessons to our members if you’d like to.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for passionate, encouraging and playful people who can:

🎵 Read simple music

🎵 Sing confidently (no formal training required)

🎵 Lead large groups with confidence and warmth

🎵 Believe in the power of singing to bring people together

What We Offer You

🌟 Ready-to-teach resources every term

🌟 Admin, booking, and venue management handled for you

🌟 Paid training and continued support

🌟 Flexibility to grow your income with lessons or workshops

🌟 A brilliant network of likeminded tutors and a whole lot of fun

ELLA

“Corporate by day, creative by night!”

Ella works full-time in a corporate role—but once a week, she gets to switch off the spreadsheets and switch on the joy. As someone who was heavily involved in the arts as a student, but whose career took a different direction, leading a Sing For Fun group gives her a creative outlet, a sense of purpose, and a little extra income to treat herself. It’s her midweek mood-booster and a welcome break from the 9 to 5!

JESS

“Flexible, fun, and fits between castings!”

As a working actor, Jess knows the importance of flexibility. Leading Sing For Fun groups is the perfect side job—creative, uplifting, and reliably scheduled around her auditions and performances. It offers consistency between shows, keeps her musically inspired, and connects her with a warm, supportive community.

LOUISA

“Term-time tunes that work around my family.”

Louisa is a self-employed performer and tutor who juggles music with motherhood. Because Sing For Fun follows a school-term schedule, it fits beautifully around family life. Running three weekly sessions adds joy to her working week, alongside one-to-one teaching and gigs—without ever clashing with school holidays.

Hannah

“From teacher burnout to full-time joy!”

After 15 years in the classroom, Hannah was ready for a change. She wanted more autonomy, more music, and more meaning—and that’s how she built Sing For Fun into a full-time career. Now she leads six choirs a week, full of laughter, harmony and heart. It’s her only job, and the most fulfilling and flexible one she’s ever had.
